I am very fortunate to have worked in a job that I love and for a mission that I believe in, and so it is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement effective July 1, 2025.
After a previous career in local and state government, working for Mental Health Virginia for the last 9 years has been an incredible opportunity to help make a difference in new ways. I have met so many people dedicated to improve our mental health system, to provide quality services, or to share their stories of resilience that restore hope in the human spirit. I am forever grateful for this experience.
I continue to work in the position for a few more months, and will comment more through blogs in coming weeks. Meanwhile, the organization is searching for a new Executive Director to work with our incredible staff and board of directors. Please share the job information with anyone interested who has the passion and skills for this rewarding work!
