Mental Health America of Virginia (MHAV) is a partner with other agencies providing a
new Peer-Run Warm Line specifically for those struggling with addiction in the
Richmond area, their loved ones, and others to talk with trained individuals who have
lived experience in addiction recovery. This Warm Line, part of the new Alive RVA
program, is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 12am (midnight). The number to call is 1-833-4PEERVA (1-833-473-3782).

The new addiction recovery line supports MHAV’s statewide Peer-Run Warm Line by
specializing in recovery from opioids and other substances. Anyone can continue to
call MHAV at (866) 400-6428 from Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm for any
type of mental health recovery peer support and information. Callers are
anonymous.

Mental Health America of Virginia (MHAV), Substance Abuse & Addiction Recovery
Alliance (SAARA) of Virginia, Friends 4 Recovery, Richmond Behavioral Health
Authority, Chesterfield Mental Health Support Services, and Goochland-Powhatan
Community Services are operating the new service with support from federal resources.
